I am so pleased such a trust was set up in memory
of gorgeous Sam. Well done to all those who have put their time
and energy into this. Sam has been such an inspiration for me when
times are tough and even now although she has gone my troubles seem
trivial to the hardships she had to endure.
I ran the London Marathon this year in 3hours and
7 seconds in memory of Sam. I hit the wall after 19 miles and when
I got through that I had cramp for the last 4 which was horrendous.
I thought of stopping as it got so bad but something made me carry
on? This is the type inspiration Sam has given us, when things are
tough just smile and get on with it, live life to the full. I miss
her energy so much.
I managed to raise a small amount of money in 2 days
and intend to do this again with slightly more organisation next
time. I am glad this will go the Gawler foundation as this was just
another part of Sam which she inspired. I am sorry I will not be
there for your opening launch, that 12 000 mile journey is such
a drag! Joanna and my thoughts are with you all.
Take care and I hope it all goes well.
